Rhône wine contest

Today it's about Rhône wines

About powerful red wines of the south of France,

In one hand we have Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre in an organic wine...

This is a Côtes Du Rhône Domaine des Espiers 2013 from
the heart of Vaucluse, between the banks of the Ouvèze and Montmirail
Price:  10,30€

Nose : Raspberries, Blackcurrant buds, simple nose but really friendly.

Mouth : This wine is just juicy, easy to drink, really smooth. Just the wine you want to drink on a sunny Sunday at barbecue with friends.

On the other hand, we have mainly Grenache (60%) and after Syrah (40%), it's an unfiltered wine, a powerful wine around 15% Vol of alcohol...

This a Vacqueras Domaine La Bouïssiere  2011 is
Located on the heights of the Dentelles, 400m above sea level
Price: 16€

Nose : Liquorice cherry, the noze is powerful, gingerbread, withe-wood, caramel.

Mouth : Good acidity, soft tannins, good confirmation of the nose. Quite long after taste for a 16€ wine.
Honestly the Côte du Rhône is a better value for money. The Vacqueras caricature.
